Founding studios: free during the pilot, and the ladder on this page on the day you join is locked as your rate. How the pilot works

Stream it yourself: quality by the hour

For a phone streaming direct, 720p starts the day at a price that competes, and the step to 1080p is only $10, which makes the sharper picture an easy yes. The 720p and 1080p rates stay flat for the whole booking, however many hours you choose. Four K plays a longer game: its rate steps down as the hours add up, so a long day in 4K lands at the 1080p rate.

720p

CA$69.99

An hour, every hour. The rate never changes with the length of the day.

4K

CA$99.99

An hour to start, stepping down as the day gets longer. By four hours you are at CA$79.99 an hour, the 1080p rate, and past four hours 4K settles at CA$75 an hour.

One thing 4K asks for is a connection that can carry it, yours where you are streaming and your guests' where they are watching. On a strong connection, guests see true 4K. Where a connection is weaker, the picture steps down on its own so the stream never stalls, then steps back up when it can. Nobody touches a setting, and the day never stops for a spinning circle.

The Studio suite

A produced day, priced by its length.

The suite costs more for the first hour and less for every hour after, because that is how a wedding day actually works: the first hour carries the setup, and the hours after it are mostly pipe.

1 hour

CA$100

CA$100 an hour. A ceremony, streamed and done. Nothing before it, nothing after. Replay included, free for 7 days.

2 hours

CA$180

CA$90 an hour. The ceremony, plus the hellos, the hugs and the photos after it. Replay included, free for 7 days.

3 hours

CA$240

CA$80 an hour. Ceremony, portraits, and a receiving line that takes its time. Replay included, free for 7 days.

A longer day? Past four hours it is a flat CA$75 an hour: 8 hours is CA$600, and a full 12-hour day is CA$900.

The rate never drops below CA$75 an hour, at hour two or at hour eleven, because a stream hour is a stream hour. Long days are welcome.

What the ladder buys

Everything on this list is in every Studio suite booking:

  • The console, with up to four wireless cameras switched live
  • Preloaded videos you can cut to and back, like the slideshow or the montage
  • Your name on the guest pages and on the fallback card
  • A guest link and code. No app, no account, no sign-up wall for guests
  • Up to 200 guests watching at the same time
  • The replay, on the same link and code, free for 7 days
  • The master recording of the program feed, downloadable for your edit

Sessions

Hours that split. Days that repeat.

A booking is a session: one day, a set number of hours, and the hours do not have to run in one block. Pay for four hours on a Saturday and use two for the ceremony in the morning and two for the reception at night. Inside the day, you can split the hours into as many events as you like. You paid for four hours, not for the twelve the clock shows.

Book one session at a time, or stack them. Studios live on weekends: Saturday and Sunday as two sessions in one purchase, or the whole season at once. On any booking of four sessions or more, every hour prices at the CA$75 floor rate from the first hour, the rate a long day reaches anyway. A two-hour session drops from CA$180 to CA$150. And a full season paid up front earns a further 10% off: a year of four-hour weekends is CA$28,080 once, instead of CA$31,200 spread across the year.

Audience, stated plainly. Up to 200 guests watching at the same moment are included on the Studio suite, and replay viewing never counts against the room. Up to 1,000 guests adds CA$150. Your signup states a concurrent viewer cap, and if the day runs bigger than planned, overage is CA$25 per 1,000 concurrent-viewer-hours past the cap, billed after. The stream is never cut off mid-event because too many people showed up. Expecting more than 1,000 watching at once? We quote it before the day, not after.

Running long

You choose how the ending works, at booking.

Weddings run long. Toasts happen. So every booking makes one choice up front, and the platform simply keeps the promise you picked.

Ends on time

Book the hours you need, and at the end of the booking the stream ends. A fixed booking with no card on file always ends on time. Clean and predictable, and the right shape for a ceremony-only day or a venue with a hard curfew.

Card on file, runs over

Put a card on file and choose run-over when you book, and the stream keeps going past the booked end, with the extra time billed by the hour at the on-the-day rate. No card on file, no run-over. That is the whole rule, and it is set when you book, not negotiated over a fading dance floor.

Add-ons

Keeping the replay past its free week.

Seven days covers the weekend, the catch-up viewing, and the relatives in other time zones. After that the recording comes down unless somebody chooses to keep it, because shelf space for a thousand weddings is a real cost, and we would rather price it honestly than bury it in the ladder.

First 7 days

Included

On the same link and code, with every event.

30 more days

CA$15

Per event, added whenever the week is not enough.

12 months

CA$39

A year of replay, and the downloadable master is included.

Master archive

CA$20/mo

Per 2 TB block, roughly 430 stream hours of past weddings.

Founding studios

The pilot: free now, your rate locked.

Founding studios pay nothing while the pilot runs. When billing switches on, the ladder on this page, as it stands on the day your studio joined, becomes your rate and does not move. There is no card involved in joining and no catch in the lock.

The exchange we are after is feedback from real events, delivered plainly. In return we would rather have working studios telling us what is wrong than guess from a desk.

Concessions beyond the ladder are made in conversation with a named studio, the old-fashioned way. They are never printed here.

Pricing questions

Before you ask us, in writing

Do I need a card to start?

No. Joining the pilot costs nothing and asks for no card. A card only enters the picture two ways: you pick the run-over option for a booking, or billing has opened and you decide to stay on.

What changes when the pilot ends?

Your price does not. The ladder as it stood on the day you joined is locked as your rate. Billing runs on this website, never inside the apps, and nothing is charged until you add payment details here yourself. We will write to founding studios before the switch happens.

How are guests counted?

By how many are watching at the same moment, not by total views. Two hundred relatives taking turns all week is a small room; two hundred watching the vows together is the included one. Replay viewing never counts against the room.

What does running over cost, exactly?

Only the hours past your booked end, billed by the hour at the on-the-day rate, and only with a card on file. Without a card on file, the stream ends at the booked time. The choice is made at booking, so nobody is negotiating it over the last dance.

Why does the first hour cost the most?

On the Studio ladder, because the first hour carries the fixed work of the day: the event setup, the console session, the recording, the replay. The hours after it are mostly pipe, so the rate steps down to the CA$75 floor and stays there.

Is the replay really included?

Yes. Seven days on the same link and code come with every event, on the Studio suite and the direct stream alike. After that it comes down unless it is extended, which is what the add-ons above are for.
