AisleBeam is a private event livestreaming service. You create an event, share a link and a code with your guests, and stream to them — nobody else. This policy explains what information the service handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the AisleBeam apps and the AisleBeam website and streaming platform.
Who runs AisleBeam
AisleBeam is operated by Valley Optimize Digital, based in British Columbia, Canada. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect, and why
Your account. When you create an account on our website, we store your name, your email address, the name of your studio or family account, and your password in hashed form (we never store or see your actual password). We use these to run your account and let you sign in. The app itself only signs you in — accounts are created on the website, and the app keeps your sign-in session stored securely on your device.
Your events. When you create an event, we store its name, date and times, and its guest code, so the event can run and your guests can join it.
Your streams and replays. When you stream, the video and audio from your device travel through our servers to your invited guests. The stream is recorded so guests can watch the replay. Replays are kept free for 7 days after the event and then deleted, unless you've chosen a paid option that keeps them longer; recordings kept under an archive plan are held for as long as that plan is active. When a recording's retention ends, it's deleted from our servers.
The basics needed to run the service. Our servers keep ordinary technical logs (such as connection times and error records) so we can keep streams running and fix problems. These are kept only as long as they're useful for that.
What guests give us
Guests don't create accounts. A guest opens your link, enters your event's code, and watches. We don't ask guests for names, emails, or accounts, and there's nothing for them to sign up for.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information. Ever.
- We don't share your information with third parties for their own marketing or any other purpose of theirs.
- There is no advertising in AisleBeam, and no third-party advertising or tracking software in our apps.
- We don't scan your streams for advertising, and we don't build profiles from what you stream.
Who can see your streams
Only people with your event's link and its code. Streams aren't listed publicly, and we don't make them available to anyone else, except where the law requires it or to protect the service from abuse.
Keeping your information safe
Sign-ins and streams travel over encrypted connections. Account passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfect, but we treat your events as what they are — private occasions, not content.
Your choices
- See and fix your information: sign in to your account on the website to view and update your account details, or write to us.
- Delete your account and data: email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We delete your account, your events, and your recordings within 30 days and confirm when it's done. Deleting your account can't be undone.
- Your recordings: replays delete themselves when their retention window ends (see above). If you want a recording removed sooner, delete the event or write to us.
Children
AisleBeam accounts are for adults running events. Guests of any age may watch an event they've been invited to — that's the account holder's guest list, and guests provide us no personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note the new date at the top and, for anything significant, let account holders know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
